Get comfortable with TAO before the competition begins.
Open the TAO invitation on your iPhone. Install Apple’s TestFlight app if prompted, then accept and install TAO. Open TAO and create your own account or start with the guest training options.
Your TAO account is separate from your Apple Account. Use your own email and password. The current field-test release is 1.0.0 (9).
From Command, choose Play Training. Host a training round or join with the code or QR supplied by your organizer. Use Test Camera to learn the controls. Practice results stay in the training context.
Guest access lets you explore first. Recruit access is the path to keeping your identity and verifying your email. Complete the Rookie briefing and use the in-app How to Play manual for detailed rules.
OPEN ACADEMY IN THE INSTALLED APP →Open Missions and join the correct mission. Open your assigned target’s dossier and choose LOAD TARGET. Check the player and mission context before using DRAW.
You can have overlapping missions. Each mission has its own participants, assignment queue and clock. Always check which one is active before making a claim.
DRAW opens your camera flow. The control starts SAFE. Arm it when you are ready, line up the Cheerio reticle, then use the capture control. Review the photo before submitting the claim.
Your phone camera is the game equipment. Never use real weapons or realistic weapon props. Do not play while driving or photograph people who have not agreed to participate.
The other player receives the claim and can Confirm or Deny. Follow the QR verification option when the game offers it. A disputed claim stays subject to the mission’s review rules; taking a photo alone does not settle it.
Use the private report option for a problem. Do not post private claim photos or another player’s location publicly.
Use the team and mission screens to see your current group and territory context. Territory control percentages use lifetime activity. A missed daily Home Base check-in shows overdue; it does not trigger an automatic penalty.
Use Lunch Break when you need the supported in-game pause. Check the displayed timer and mission rules before resuming. Going off duty or revoking location permission stops new location sharing.
Avatar Buy & Build includes upcoming official starter, Halloween, sports/adventure and career lineups. TAO Coin features are beta game-economy placeholders, without cash redemption. No paid avatar purchase is available on this website.
Only play with consenting participants, in permitted places. No trespassing, harassment or play while driving. Respect anyone who asks you to stop. This beta is for testers aged 16 or older.
